Medication Management

Comprehensive medication evaluations focus on medication optimization by reducing medication burden, addressing medication side effects, and ensuring the most appropriate medication is being utilized for the symptoms you are experiencing. Medication management is often combined with psychotherapy to enhance treatment response. During the initial appointment you can expect a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, accurate diagnosis, and detailed action plan outlining next steps in your treatment.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy or "talk" therapy is a collaborative process that can help identify and change unhealthy thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to foster emotional well-being and healing. While psychotherapy can be effective on its own, it is frequently combined with medication management for a comprehensive treatment approach. Modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Supportive Psychotherapy, and Behavioral Activation Therapy can be tailored to each individual's needs.

Behavioral Consultation

It is common for individuals living with dementia or memory loss to experience a variety of mood and behavioral symptoms including depression, anxiety, sleep disturbance, anger, and paranoia.  These symptoms are complex, can be challenging to manage, and distressing for the individual and caregivers.  During these one-time-consultations you can expect a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, detailed medication review, and treatment plan outlining specific behavioral approaches and medication recommendations for your primary care provider.

All out-of-pocket fees will be collected at the time of service.
